Beijing, Yichang, Chongqing, Xian, Shanghai and the Beautiful Gardens of Suzhou

Day 1 (Sat) San Francisco/Beijing, China
Depart San Francisco for your flight to Beijing.
Day 2 (Sun) Beijing
Evening arrival in Beijing, the capital and cultural center of China. Then transfer to your hotel.
Day 3 (Mon) Beijing
A morning city tour includes Tiananmen Square. Then visit the Forbidden City, home of Chinese Emperors for more than 500 years and the Temple of Heaven. (B,L,D)
Day 4 (Tue) Beijing
Today we visit China's Great Wall and the Ming Tombs. This evening, enjoy a traditional Peking Duck dinner. (B,L,D)
Day 5 (Wed) Beijing
ATTEND CME PROGRAM.
This afternoon visit the Summer Palace, where the Dowager Empress would spend her summers. Retun to the hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant. (B,L,D)
Day 6 (Thu) Beijing/Yichang
Today, fly to Yichang, the gateway to the Yangtze River Gorges. Enjoy a brief city tour (time permitting) before boarding your luxurious River Cruiser. Set sail late this evening on Victoria Cruises Ship. (B,L,D)
Day 7 (Fri) Xiling Gorge – Yangtze River
Spend the day cruising along one of the world's finest stretches of river scenery. First, dock at Sandouping village and visit the ongoing Yangtze Dam project, the world's largest hydroelectric power project. Return to your ship and sail through the Three Gorges shiplocks towards the Xiling Gorge, a long, twisting passage through rushing rapids, weathered peaks, landmark caves and temples. (B,L,D)
Day 8 (Sat) Wu Gorge/3 Little Gorges/ Wushan/Qutang Gorge - Yangtze River
An unforgettable day begins as you sail through the Three Gorges. Proceed through the misty Wu Gorge, its twelve peaks soaring above. Dock in Wushan and board a smaller boat for a thrilling side trip up the Daning River to see the "Small Gorges" (On some sailings, you may tour Shennong Stream.). Your spectacular journey continues as you pass through the last of the "Three Gorges: Qutang, amid breathtaking narrow passages. (B,L,D)
Day 9 (Sun) Yangtze River
Today, continue your cruise along the Yangtze River, dock in either Wanzhou or the "Ghost Town" of Fengdu, where a shore excursion will be included. Tonight, enjoy a farewell banquet and cultural show on board. (B,L,D)
Day 10 (Mon) Chongqing/Xian
Disembark in the mountain city of Chongqing. After a brief city tour (time permitting) fly to Xian, ancient capital of China for eleven dynasties and historic gateway to the old silk trading route. Overnight. (B,L,D)
Day 11 (Tue) Xian, Terra-cotta Soldiers
See the Ming Dynasty City Wall, Wild Goose Pagoda and world famous Terra-cotta Warriors. This evening an exciting cultural performance. (B,L,D)
Day 12 (Wed) Xian/Shanghai
ATTEND CME PROGRAM.
Fly to Shanghai, city of the famous Bund. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Overnight. (B,L,D)
Day 13 (Thu) Shanghai/Suzhou/Shanghai
This morning we board our train to Suzhou. Linked by a series of canals, Suzhou is one of China's most beautiful garden cities. Afternoon is at leisure. (B,L,D)
Day 14 (Fri) Shanghai
ATTEND CME PROGRAM.
The afternoon a city tour of Shanghai including the Bund and the beautiful Yu Yuan Gardens. Join in a Farewell dinner tonight. (B,L,D)
Day 15 (Sat) Shanghai/San Francisco
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to San Francisco. (B)
