Day 1 (Sun) Los Angeles/Hanoi
Your exotic journey begins as you depart on your wide-body jet flight bound for Vietnam.
Day 2 (Mon) Hanoi, Vietnam
Late morning arrival in Hanoi, the capital of Viet Nam. You will be met at the airport and transferred to the deluxe Sofitel Plaza Hotel. Hanoi’s rich history is tied to French Colonialism as well as the Chinese era which is evident in the architecture, cuisine and culture of the city. Balance of the day at leisure. This evening a Welcome dinner at the famous Le Tonkin restaurant and a performance of the unique Water puppets. (D)
Day 3 (Tue) Hanoi

ATTEND CME PROGRAM.

Today’s sightseeing will explore the highlights of Hanoi. Visit the Ho Chi Min Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature dedicated to Confucius, Hoan Kiem Lake and the historic Old Quarter. See the busy old market. (B,L,D)

Day 4 (Wed) Hanoi/Halong Bay/Hanoi
Journey this morning to Halong, a vast and mysterious bay with incredible scenery, considered Vietnam’s most spectacular natural attraction with three thousand small jagged limestone islands rising out of the South China Sea. This backdrop of fjords and inlets sets the scene for your 4 hour boat trip on the lake stopping to visit several island caves. Enjoy a wonderful seafood lunch before returning to Hanoi. (B,L)
Day 5 (Thu) Hanoi/Hue
This morning a short flight takes you to Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam. Upon arrival visit the Citadel in the old city, the Flag Tower, Ngo Mon Gate, and the forbidden Purple City home to the Royal Family before 1945. Your hotel the Saigon Morin is located in the city centre near the picturesque Perfume River. (B,L,D)
Day 6 (Fri) Hue/Hoi An

ATTEND CME PROGRAM.

Your in-depth visit in Hue includes a cruise on the Perfume River stopping at the revered Thien Mu Pagoda. See the majestic Minh Mang Tomb. Stop at the colorful Dong Ba Market with its wide array of local foods and products. This afternoon travel through more spectacular scenery as you cross the Hai Van Pass enjoying beautiful coastline views enroute to the enchanting town of Hoi An. Overnight at the Palm Garden Beach Resort & Spa Hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 7 (Sat) Hoi An
The ancient city of Hoi An retains much of its original charm and culture. Enjoy a walking tour of this historic port town and its centuries old buildings. A Trishaw (cycle) ride will give us a view of the curving Japanese Bridge. Balance of the day at leisure to explore Hoi An on your own. (B)
Day 8 (Sun) Hoi An/Danang/ Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)
Travel to Danang this morning. Here visit the Cham Museum with its fine collection of sandstone carvings and sculptures. Proceed to China Beach, the famous old American R&R resort and see the Marble Mountains, consisting of five jagged stone crests representing the elements of nature. Later a short flight takes us to Saigon, now known as Ho Chi Minh City. Transfer to the deluxe Renaissance Riverside. (B,L)
Day 9 (Mon) Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)

ATTEND CME PROGRAM.

Journey outside the city to visit the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels which stretched from the capital to the Cambodian border and served the former communist guerillas. Returning to Saigon we visit it’s major sights as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the former US Embassy, Cholon, the Chinese quarter and the lively Ben Thanh Market with its myriad of goods. Dinner this evening at the Rex Garden restaurant with traditional vietnamese music. (B,L,D)

Day 10 (Tue) Saigon/Siem Reap, Cambodia
Fly to neighboring Cambodia, arriving at Siem Reap the gateway to the world famous temples of Angkor Wat considered among the “Seven Wonders of the World”. The Khmer Kings, ancient rulers of Cambodia built these beautifully carved temples which are today considered architectural masterpieces. Afternoon sightseeing of the Temples of Angkor include Angkor Thom and the Southern Gate of Bayon. At sunset visit Phnom Bakheng for its spectacular views. Le Meridien Angor Hotel. (B,D)
Day 11 (Wed) Siem Reap/ Angor Wat
A full day excursion to visit in-depth the Angkor Complex which includes the Temples of Angkor built in the 12th century and dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu. Ta Prohm a temple still surrounded by thick jungle and the Bentry Srei Temple built in the 10th century. Tonight, a farewell dinner and cultural performance. (B,L,D)
Day 12 (Thu) Siem Reap/Los Angeles
Depart Siem Reap this morning for your return flight to Los Angeles via Bangkok and Hong Kong arriving in the early afternoon this same day. (B)
